Millie and Steve collected, traded, curated, repaired, and restored many treasures that they adored. Antiques and collectibles, historic pieces, ornate furniture, toys, they loved it all. (Dad would sometimes buy old pictures, hoping to find an original copy of the Declaration of Independence hidden behind it. To our knowledge, he never did.) Stephen and I grew up with many of these things and they are dear to our hearts, but we cannot keep everything they accumulated. Our desire is for these pieces to go and live with people who will remember their heritage, who will care for them the way our parents did, and who will keep them as mementos of such very special people.
On this page, we will post photos of pieces that we think are special. Click on a photo and some will have descriptions from what Millie left us or our memories. If you are interested in something you see, let us know. We have limited knowledge as to their monetary value, and most of their worth to us is sentimental. If we have any idea as to the value of a piece from what Millie and Steve tagged it for sale or our own research, we will put it in the description. But we want you to feel free to make us an offer on anything you see or remember from the house, and we'll look it over to determine its current condition, and then Stephen and I will discuss and either accept or send you a counter offer. I feel that we are trying to fulfill the wishes of our parents through this process. This is a difficult undertaking for us, so we appreciate your patience and understanding.
